What if there was a chair on the moon? Perhaps I could sit in that chair and gaze upon our planet. That thought led to countless drawings and a number of prototypes, none of which satisfied me. The reason was clear. I actually already knew exactly the kind of chair you would need to relax on the moon. Enzo Mari's Tonietta. It is my favorite chair, the archetype for my creation. I decided to make a chair in which Mari could sit on the moon. Tonietta, the chair that I most love and I think he most loved too. If his chair is a beautiful full moon, I would make a crescent moon. The frail structure is perhaps not realistic enough to be called "design", but I continue to search for a way to make it practical while also retaining the beauty of the crescent moon.
